1. Christianity Is Centered on Jesus Christ

  • Christianity teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man.
  • He was born of a virgin (Luke 1:26–38), lived a sinless life, died on the cross for sin, rose from the dead (Luke 24:6–7), and ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9).

2. The Bible Is the Foundation

  • The Bible is Christianity’s holy book, composed of the Old Testament (Hebrew Scriptures) and the New Testament.
  • It is considered divinely inspired (2 Timothy 3:16) and is the authoritative guide for faith and life.

3. Salvation Is by Grace Through Faith

  • Christians believe salvation is a gift from God, not something earned (Ephesians 2:8–9).
  • It comes through faith in Jesus Christ—trusting in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins.

4. God Is a Trinity

  • Christianity uniquely teaches that God is One in Three Persons:
    • God the Father (Creator)
    • God the Son (Jesus, Redeemer)
    • God the Holy Spirit (Sanctifier and Helper)

5. The Christian Life Is a Journey of Transformation

  • Believers are called to follow Jesus, grow in holiness, love others, and live out their faith in daily life.
  • The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live according to God’s will (Galatians 5:22–23).

6. Jesus Will Return

  • Christians believe in the second coming of Christ to judge the living and the dead and to establish God’s eternal kingdom (Revelation 22:12).

  • Christianity began in the 1st century in the Middle East and has since spread worldwide.
  • There are many denominations (e.g., Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox), but all true Christian traditions affirm the core of the gospel: Christ crucified and risen.

8. Love Is Central

  • Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love your neighbor (Matthew 22:36–40).
  • Christians are called to embody this love in word and action.

9. Baptism and Communion Are Key Practices

  • Baptism symbolizes new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).
  • Communion (or the Lord’s Supper) remembers Jesus’ sacrifice and unites believers in fellowship (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

10. Eternal Life Is the Promise

  • Christians believe in life after death—eternal union with God for those in Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him (John 3:16, Revelation 20:12–15).
