The Lord Parted Heavens and came down!

Psalms 18:1-24

1 I love you, LORD, my strength.

2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

3 I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.

4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.

5 The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.

6 In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.

7 The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry.

8 Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.

9 He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet.

10 He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky.

12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning.

13 The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.

14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.

15 The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.

16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.

17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.

18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support.

19 He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

20 The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.

21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I am not guilty of turning from my God.

22 All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees.

What shall I return to the LORD for all his goodness to me?

Psalms 116

1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.

2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.

4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!”

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6 The LORD protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.

7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8 For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

9 that I may walk before the LORDin the land of the living.

10 I trusted in the LORD when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”;

11 in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.”

12 What shall I return to the LORD for all his goodness to me?

13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people.

15 Precious in the sight of the LORDis the death of his faithful servants.

16 Truly I am your servant, LORD; I serve you just as my mother did; you have freed me from my chains

In chapter, David is offering Thanksgiving. We too ought to be give thanks to lord our God for his goodness

Praise the Lord Always!

1 Praise the LORD my soul, all my innermost being, praise his holy name.🕺

2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.🔥

6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel💐

8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse or will he harbor his anger forever;🌷

Psalms 103🌹

1k will fall by my side, 10k at my right hand but it will not come near me!

Psalms 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust”

3 Surely he will save me from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence

4 He will cover me with his feathers and under his wings i will find refuge; his faithfulness is my shield and rampart.

5 I will not fear the terror of night or the arrow that flies by day or the pestilence that stalks in the darkness or the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me, I will only look with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Since I have made The LORD is my refuge, the Most High my dwelling, no harm will overtake me, no disaster will come near my tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways, they will lift me up in their hands, so that i will not strike my foot against a stone.

13 I will tread on the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 The LORD says, “Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

I look up the mountains!

Psalms 1211:8

I look up to the mountains—   Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!

He will not let me stumble;  the one who watches me you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel  never slumbers or sleeps.

The Lord himself watches over me!   The Lord stands beside me as my protective shade.
The sun will not harm me by day,  nor the moon at night.

The Lord keeps me from all harm  and watches over my life.
The Lord keeps watch over me as i come and go,  both now and forever.

My Cup Overflows

psalms 23

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

I will praise you, Lord, i will praise you!

Psalms 138:1-5

1 I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
I will bow down toward your holy temple
    and will praise your name
for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
for you have so exalted your solemn decree
    that it surpasses your fame.
When I called, you answered me;
    you greatly emboldened me.

May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord,
when they hear what you have decreed.
May they sing of the ways of the Lord,
for the glory of the Lord is great.

My strength and shield

Psalms 25:6-9

The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.

The Lord is the strength of his people,
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them forever.

Good things in store

Psalms 31:19-24

How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you.
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them
    from all human intrigues;
you keep them safe in your dwelling
    from accusing tongues.

21Praise be to the Lord,
for he showed me the wonders of his love
when I was in a city under siege.
22 In my alarm I said,
“I am cut off from your sight!”
Yet you heard my cry for mercy
when I called to you for help.

23 Love the Lord, all his faithful people!
The Lord preserves those who are true to him,
but the proud he pays back in full.
24 Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord.
